What is GreenButton?

Simply put, the team at GreenButton help transition software vendors & their applications to the cloud. We ensure that both the vendor and their customers benefit from the cloud, by providing all the GreenButton components to sell, support and deliver a cloud solution with minimal risk and effort.

We do this by focusing first on those tasks or functions that could benefit from the cloud - today. It’s not about moving everything today, it’s about moving at a pace that adds value to the end users and the business.

What does this mean?

We provide an alternate strategy in moving to the cloud by distributing certain functions or tasks to the cloud rather than a complete move to the cloud which could be very costly.

    Marcel van den Assum has held senior information services leadership roles as supplier and customer, in New Zealand and offshore locations, for commercial and public sector organizations.

    CEO

    Scott has over 25 years' experience in the IT industry and previously was CIO for Weta Digital during The Lord of the Rings, Scott was the New Zealand Regional Manager for Silicon Graphics and the Southern Regional Channel Manager for Compaq in New Zealand.

    CTO

    Dave has many years of experience designing massively scalable applications in the Investment Banking industry in the U.K. He has a passion for the Cloud and High Performance Computing and using innovative technology to bring unique and compelling solutions to GreenButton's customers.

    Darryl Lundy

    CFO

    Darryl's most recent role prior to GreenButton was seven years as a Business Development Manager for Telecom NZ, where he helped manage a number of corporate transactions. His degrees include an MBA from The Wharton School and a Masters in Computer Science from Harvard. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

    Jeff Olson

    VP Sales

    Jeff has over 15 years as a sales executive with both start-ups and large enterprises. He has a deep understanding of business development and sales especially with direct, inside and channel sales. Previously he was with Gluster where after helping generate phenomenal growth in the software storage market it was acquired by RedHat.

    Peter Soukalopoulos

    Development Manager

    Peter leads our Wellington based development team. He has worked in senior roles in Australia and Ireland developing distributed systems in mission critical applications for emergency services. Peter brings a wealth of IT experience to the team in delivering robust cloud solutions to our customers.
